Leaning into the earth
There’s such a peace in embracing the earth and nature. Like growing food and using it to cook. The simple rituals of making bread. The empowerment in tuning to your body and following its natural path.
Health has always been an important part of my life. Often choosing more holistic things over the traditional medicine. I have experienced a lot in my health journey; the biggest shift coming when I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, 2014. I turned toward holistic methods like essential oils, diet and exercise. But it wasn’t until the last few years I began learning even more about my body. Learning about our hormone cycles as women, what to provide to our bodies during those times and how embracing the natural cycles within us don’t fit the societal norm. You see, as women we operate on 28 day cycles (this is an average), but what’s fascinating is, so does the moon.
The link between our hormonal cycle and the lunar calendar insight a curiosity. Why are we not taught about this, and what would change if we were.
The biggest shift might just be an internal peace. One that comes from the simpleness of nature. Feeling so connected with source that when you try less, and lean into what’s already there, it all becomes simple.
